 Ingredients

  • 1 cup nut  butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup rice malt syrup
  • ¼ cup of raw cacao powder, plus extra for dusting
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup of grated beetroot (approx 1 medium beetroot)
  • 80g 85% dark chocolate, roughly chopped

 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a rectangular slice tin with baking paper.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Spoon mixture into a prepared tin. Bake for 35 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  4. Dust with extra cacao.
